Food distribution once a month out of St. Nicholas' Church
Coordinator: Bunny Franco
Monsignor Hodge recognized the needs of the poor in Atlantic City. He began the food bank and with the help and hard work of volunteers and donations of food and money, St Nicholas' food bank has fed more than 200 families each month for 20 years!
The lines form early in the AM on the third Monday of each month to receive food in all types of weather conditions. The volunteers work out of a basement in the freezing cold of winter and the heat of the summer to hand out the food.
Our goal is to make sure all families have the food they need. Donations are always needed and can be made through the Community Food Bank of South Jersey which is earmarked for St Nicholas of Tolentine food bank.
We are there every third Monday of each month to feed the poor of the city.
