Thank you for your interest in hosting your wedding with the Parish of Saint Monica in Atlantic City. We are a popular destination for many couples.  For Catholics, marriage is a sacrament fittingly celebrated in the parish of the bride or groom. Therefore, we strongly encourage couples to be married by their parish priest in their own church.

Our first priority is given to those who are parishioners, that is, those who live in the parish (Atlantic City). Active parishioners are eligible for our discounted parishioner wedding fees. In order to receive the discounted parishioner rate the bride or groom must be an active, registered parishioner of St. Monica for at least one year from the date you book your wedding with the Parish of Saint Monica (not your actual wedding date). Active parishioners attend mass at one of Saint Monica’s churches at least twice a month and volunteers in one of our parish ministries.

We also have a long-standing tradition of accommodating “summer visitors” in situations where either the bride or the groom, or an immediate family member maintains a primary or secondary residence in the parish. However, marriage preparation should be completed with the couple's parish priest and the wedding must also be officiated by him or another priest or deacon chosen by the couple. The discounted active parishioner fee does not apply.

If you do not live within the parish boundaries and/or are not a registered parishioner, you CAN be married at St. Monica, however, we cannot guarantee your first choice of wedding date and time, and a the non-parishioner fee will apply.
