Atlantic City is a popular destination for weddings. For Catholics, marriage is a sacrament fittingly celebrated in the parish of the bride or groom. Therefore, we encourage couples to be married by their parish priest in their own church. For couples insisting on an Atlantic City wedding, marriage preparation should be completed with the couple's parish priest and the wedding must also be officiated by him or another priest or deacon chosen by the couple.
For non-parishioners, the fee for the use of the churches of St. Nicholas of Tolentine and St. Michael is $1,200. The fee for the church of Our Lady Star of the Sea is $500. A $200 deposit is required to secure the wedding date. The balance is due at the time of the wedding.
The fee for parishioners in all churches is $250.
The fee for St. Nicholas of Tolentine is waived for Atlantic City police and firefighters.
Saturday weddings must begin no later than 1 PM at St. Nicholas or 1:30 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Generally, there are no time constraints at St. Michael's.
