Mission Statement

The Knights of Saint John Commandery #287 was formed October 13th, 1919 here in Atlantic City.  Our Foundress “MOTHER EMMA LEWIS”, had a vision imbued with a passion for inclusiveness and participation of the African American community in keeping with the universality of the Catholic Church. Today you will find the Knights assisting in the Masses, pursuing fund raising activities, helping at the Parish food bank, transporting parishioners to Mass, collecting winter clothes, evangelizing and participating in Parish Ministries.  “The members of the Knights of St. John International will continue to witness their FAITH in God, through Jesus Christ, in their daily works in the Church, Commandery and Community”
