About

The Parish of Saint Monica serves all of Atlantic City. It includes the churches of Our Lady Star of the Sea, St. Nicholas of Tolentine, and St. Michael. The parish has special ministries to Hispanic, Vietnamese, and Black Catholics. The parish sponsors Our Lady Star of the Sea School, the only Catholic school on Absecon Island.

A little more detail

In 2015 the four Catholic Parishes in Atlantic City united in to form the citywide Parish of Saint Monica.

The term parish refers to the territory we serve, the municipal boundaries of Atlantic City, and our corporate identity.  Therefore, all property (e.g., real estate, bank accounts) is held in the name of the Parish of Saint Monica.  The churches in the parish are still known by their original names.  The parish is part of the Diocese of Camden.
