History
July 6, 1902 | Cornerstone laid. 2,000 people attend ceremony, including the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. |
September 17, 1905 | Church completed and consecrated by Bishop James McFaul of Trenton. The church cost $128,000. In less than 9 years, the debt was paid. |
1935 | Baptistery and significant decorations added |
1977 | Interior work done, including repainting walls and ceiling in current cream color and faux-marble painting of columns. Some original art was painted over. |
1980’s | Current floor and pews installed |
February 2, 2001 | Church added to the National Register of Historic Places |
